Smart Solutions

Most older irrigation systems were built using PVC components, which can be prone to premature failure over time—especially in Montana’s extreme weather, where freezing temperatures, soil movement, and seasonal expansion and contraction take a toll. Cracks, leaks, and other issues can develop more quickly in these older materials, leading to inefficiency and costly repairs. Whenever possible, we use modern, high-quality products to replace damaged parts, improving the durability, reliability, and overall performance of your system for years to come.

Parts

We use only professional-grade parts from trusted brands like Rain Bird and Hunter to ensure every repair is durable, reliable, and performs at the highest standard. We always aim to use the best possible options to maximize longevity and performance. Often, we encounter older systems where the core design itself is faulty or was not installed correctly. In these cases, we’re upfront about the issues we find before billing, explaining the problem and the best approach to fix it. Our goal is to provide solutions you can trust, keeping your system running efficiently for years to come. Repairs and replacements are performed to professional standards, but system performance may be affected by age, design, or existing conditions.

Service & Diagnostic Fee Policy

Thank you for choosing Rustic Roots Montana! To ensure our business can operate sustainably and cover the costs of driving to your property, blocking out dedicated time in our schedule, and ensuring small appointments are viable to run, we utilize the following policy for all service calls:

  • Flat Initial Fee: We charge a flat $115.00 Service & Diagnostic Fee to show up and inspect your system.
  • The Repair Credit: If you approve our repair proposal, the full $115.00 is credited directly toward your repair bill, making the diagnostic visit essentially free.
  • One-Hour Minimum: If the repair turns out to be a quick fix that takes less than an hour, the $115.00 serves as our minimum charge for the appointment to ensure the trip is worth our time.
  • 14-Day Bid Window & Declined Estimates: You have 14 days from the inspection date to decide whether to accept our repair bid. If you choose to decline the bid, or if the 14-day window passes without a response, the $115.00 fee will be charged to cover our diagnostic time and travel overhead.
